Dr. Jason Patel was born in Athens, GA and grew up in Hartwell, GA. He attended college at Mercer University in Macon, GA and earned his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah, GA. Upon graduating from medical school, Dr. Patel moved to Baton Rouge, LA where he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at LSU. 

Dr. Patel decided to become a primary care physician as it gives him the ability to build relationships with his patients, while also leading them to a healthier lifestyle. Dr. Patel values the importance of preventive medicine and wellness in his patients’ lives which he believes can be achieved by building a trusting collaboration with his patients. Dr. Patel also focuses on chronic disease management, such as COPD, Asthma, Diabetes, Hypertension, Anxiety, Depression and multiple other diseases. 

Dr. Patel currently lives in Covington with his wife, Dr. Savannah Patel who is a future psychiatrist. They enjoy spending their free time attending events in Covington and can often be found at local restaurants, or just relaxing at home with their dogs, cat, and newborn baby, Meera Grace.
